Smt. Sowmya Sudharshan is an ‘A’ grade artiste of All India Radio. Among the earliest Gurukulam shishyas, Sowmya is recognised for her qualitative rendering of Guru Smt. Seetha Rajan’s “baani”. Her music is characterised by “bhaava” and “bhakti”. She is involved in the development and curation of courseware for the Gurukulam.
